By using Pinch you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the app.
1. What Pinch is
Pinch estimates the nutrition in food you photograph or describe, and scores the quality of your day against published dietary guidance. Every number it produces is an estimate generated by a model, not a measurement. Portion sizes, ingredients and preparation are inferred from a picture or a sentence and will sometimes be wrong.
2. It is not medical advice
Pinch is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is a substitute for a doctor, a dietitian or any other qualified professional. Do not use it to manage a medical condition, and do not delay seeking advice because of something it told you. If you are pregnant, unwell, or eating under clinical supervision, follow your clinician, not the app.
3. Your account
You need an account, you must be at least 13, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in secure.
4. What you post
You keep ownership of your photos and the text you write. By posting a meal to the public feed you grant us the licence needed to store it and show it to other users of Pinch, and nothing more. You can delete a post at any time.
Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, deceptive, or that belongs to someone else. Do not post other people's photographs without their agreement. We may remove content or close accounts that break this, and photos published to the feed are screened automatically.
5. Subscriptions
- Pinch has a free tier. A paid subscription, Pinch Pro, unlocks additional analysis, history and social features.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at purchase, until cancelled.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or it renews. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple or Google account settings, or from Settings in the app.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google, and refunds are theirs to give under their policies.
- If we change the price, you will be told beforehand and can cancel.
6. Availability
Pinch is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates will be accurate. We may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
7. Ending it
You can stop using Pinch and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
8. Changes
If these terms change we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Pinch means accepting the new version.
